A US mobile number typically consists of 10 digits, divided into three parts:

US Mobile Number Format

  • Area code: The first three digits represent the geographical area where the number is assigned.  
  • Exchange code: The next three digits identify a specific central office switch.  
  • Line number: The final four digits are unique to the individual phone line.

  • XXX is the area code
